Saturday Post Assistant

8.30am – 11.30am

 

We are looking for a reliable and confident Post Assistant to work 3 hours on a Saturday morning.

You would provide an efficient postal & despatch service for the business;

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking receipt of incoming courier deliveries as required and notifying the relevant person
  • Mail merge print and pack brochures as per client brochure requests
  • Walking around all areas of the business at 10.15am to collect department outgoing post
  • Monitoring brochure stock levels in our post room
  • Weigh and log all standard outgoing post via Royal Mail online account
  • Ensure all post is ready on time for collection by Royal Mail deadline
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly packing area
  • Replenish reception area
  • Pre-pack final itinerary wallets

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • You should be able to work independently in a methodical way to given timescales in a fast-paced environment and therefore have good time management skills as well as being self-motivating
  • You should be a positive, energetic and outgoing person who is comfortable interacting with others
  • You should be well organised, adaptable and excellent attention to detail
  • Active person who will be working on their feet for most of the day 
  • Previous experience of working with post is desirable although not essential
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Works well as part of a team and on their own
  • Experience of working to deadlines
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Logical thinker and problem solver
  • IT skills – basic Word, Excel and experience of working with in-house systems
  • Confidentiality awareness

Given the weight of the brochures we send to clients and the size of some of our deliveries you should possess a good level of physical fitness
